 Our Story

The Dogfather Bakery began with two simple things — a love for dogs and a dream shared by a mother and daughter.

As lifelong dog lovers, we've always believed that dogs aren't just pets… they're family. They've been our companions on good days, our comfort on hard days, and the loyal friends who are always there with a wagging tail and unconditional love. Like any family member, they deserve the very best — especially when it comes to the treats they trust us to give them.

Together, we began baking homemade dog treats using simple, wholesome ingredients and recipes our own dogs loved. Before long, friends, family, and fellow dog lovers were asking for them too — and the idea for our little bakery began to grow.

The Name

A few months after losing my dad, I was trying to come up with a unique and fun name for our business.  While brainstorming, I came across an image of a bulldog with a cigar. Being a bulldog mom myself, it caught my attention right away — but it also immediately made me think of The Godfather, my proud Italian dad's absolute favorite movie! I swear he must have watched it 1000 times!!! And just like that, The Dogfather came to mind. Maybe it was coincidence, or maybe it was Dad having a little hand in things. Either way, the name stuck and became a special way to carry a little piece of him with us on this journey.

Meet Gracie

And it only seemed fitting that our own bulldog, Gracie, would become the face of The Dogfather Bakery — with a little mafia makeover, of course! Today, she proudly represents our logo and a business name that holds a very special meaning to our family.

Our Mission

Every treat we make is handmade in small batches with simple, dog-friendly ingredients and a whole lot of love. But for us, this bakery is about more than just treats. It's about celebrating the bond between people and their dogs — a bond built on loyalty, trust, and unconditional love.

It's also about giving back. We know that not every dog has the home they deserve yet. That's why a portion of every purchase helps support rescue and adoption efforts, helping dogs in need get closer to the loving families they're waiting for.
